West Bath – Roxanne Louise Lawley of West Bath, passed away at the Barron Center in Portland on Thursday, November 17, 2016.  Roxanne was born on March 11, 1952 in Bath.  She was a true Mainer who loved Maine in every way except the cold winter, when she would dream of becoming a snowbird.  She worked at bath Iron Works for 21 years, and served on various committees.

Roxanne was a high energy person, she loved God, family and people and you would always see her with a smile.  She was born again in 1991 when she accepted Jesus as her personal savior.  She completed a correspondence Bible College, Kenneth Hagin Ministries and additional Bible classes at Heaven Sent Holiness Church, through Pastor Ellery Jester to become an Associate Pastor.  Her heart was to teach the word of God, the Full Gospel, and to see others come to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior.  Roxanne loved to bake, sew, knit and she loved to collect things to do with butterflies.  She enjoyed quilting with her best friend Shirley Farnsworth who was her friend from childhood.

Roxanne was predeceased by her parents Alvin & Virginia (Sutherland) Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband of 27 year’s, Kevin Lawley of West Bath; her daughter, Shannon MacDonald of Ellsworth; her son, Carl Wilson and wife Stephanie of Lamoine; step-son, Adam Lawley and wife Tabitha of Maryland; a sister, Patricia Nicholas and husband Nick of Bath; brother, Everett Mitchell and wife Cindy of West Bath; grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Isaiah, Mitchell, and Madison; a great grandson, Ezra; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family wants to thank all associated with her care, with a special thanks to Spectrum Generations, Solamore Hospice, and the Barron Center.
