Ronnie Lee Muster, age 73 of Lake Vermilion – Tower died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home in the care of East Range Hospice after a lengthy, well fought battle with cancer. He was born November 1, 1942 in Kansas City, MO, his parents were Joseph J. and Lillie M. (Ransin) Muster, was a graduate of Gilbert High School, and was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army. Ron was raised in, and lived in Gilbert prior to moving to Lake Vermilion in 1995. He was employed as a mechanic, service manager, and was the owner/operator of Northland Auto located in Mountain Iron. Ron was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church in Tower where he had served as treasurer for 8 years; a former member of the Knights of Columbus, a member and Past President of the Virginia Rotary Club, a founding member and Past President of the Gilbert Lions Club, a 20 year member of the Gilbert Fire Department where he had served as Chief, the George and Mark Klobuchar VFW Post # 4456 in Gilbert, a member of the Gilbert Charter Commission, and the Gilbert School Board. He enjoyed wood working, made his first grandchild’s crib, and became a pilot in 1990 and enjoyed flying. He loved Lake Vermilion, boating, having friends and family over all the time, and was known for his 4th of July parties complete with music and fireworks.
Ron is survived by his wife: Evelyn (nee Lehman); children: Mark (LaDonna) Muster and their children: Christopher, Elizabeth & Rebecca of Gilbert, Michael Lee Muster of Stewartville, Michelle Muster Petersen and her children Marisa & Kyle of Ramsey, Denine Lehman Austin and her children Mackenzie, Ben & Shane of Spokane, and Brad Lehman and girlfriend Carrie Bogue and her children: Drew, Caitlin, Kylie and Joey; sister: Joann (William J.) Branagan III of Cape Canaveral, FL; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law: Steve Austin.
