Age 61, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 5, 2005, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with heart problems and a very short battle with lung cancer. He was born on September 5, 1944 in Sebewa, MI the son of Forrest and Charlotte (Shattuck) Black. Ronald attended school until the 10th grade, and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, until his honorable discharge in 1962. Ronald retired from Oldsmobile after 32 1/2 years of service as a groundskeeper (yard bird) factory worker. They provided a foster home for 20 years with 49 foster children throughout those years. Ronald’s family and his grandchildren were the joy of his life.
