Ronald A. “Tuppy” Belanger, age 88, longtime resident of Hibbing died peacefully at his home Sunday, June 7, 2015, with family at his side. He was born April 28, 1927, in Fort Francis, Ontario, the son of Octave “Joe” and Rosie (Rivord) Belanger. A veteran of the US Army, Tuppy served in the Aleutian Islands during WWII. Tuppy was united in marriage to Patricia Jean Lovejoy on August 28, 1948, in St. Thomas Church in International Falls.
Tuppy worked as a Pipefitter and was a 60-year member of Union Local # 589. He retired in 1991. Tuppy was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Hibbing as well as the Knights of Columbus, and the Eagle’s Club in Hallock, MN.
