Roger Elmer Beaman, age 81, of Hibbing, died Monday, March 5, 2012, in the Deer River Healthcare Center. He was born February 5, 1931, in Dawson, MN, the son of Elmer and Martha (Krieger) Beaman. He graduated from Dawson High School and later from Augsburg College. Roger was united in marriage to Ardis Johnson in Webster, SD, in 1950.
Roger was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Roger worked as a teacher for 31years, and coached sports – the last 24 years of teaching were in Nashwauk-Keewatin.
Roger is survived by his wife of 61 years: Ardis; two sons: David Allan (Merrie) Beaman of St. Anthony, MN, and Steven Jon (Jodi) Beaman of Maple Grove, MN; a daughter: Lori Lynn (Frank) Pasalich of Hibbing; a brother: Ronald Beaman of Minneapolis, MN; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
