Age 86, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. Robert was born on February 28, 1923 in Pewamo, MI the son of August and Elizabeth (Stump) Kramer. He married Shirley Droste on May 15, 1948. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2008. Robert, or Bob, as he was known to his many friends and family resided in Ionia since early 1950. Bob served in WWII and was stationed in India. He retired from the Michigan Department of Agriculture in 1984, where he was a State Dairy Inspector and USDA butter grader. Bob was active in Ionia as a member of the Knights of Columbus, a long-time Board Member of the Housing Commission, and a founding member of the Bungalow Coffee Club.
