Robert “Bob” Edwin Taddei, passed away in Damariscotta, on September 6th at the age of 85. Born in Alameda, California on November 23, 1927, he was the son of Helen and Vittorio Taddei. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Marilyn; his daughters, Paula Taddei and Kristine Poland (Rick); and his son, Dave Taddei. He is also survived by his brother, Arnold Taddei; sister-in-law, Lillian Taddei; nephews, Steve Taddei (Kathryn) and Jim Taddei (Sherry); and his nieces, Susan Tuana and Nancy Tuana; as well as his great-nephew Philip Taddei. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Taddei; his brother, Vernon Taddei; and his niece Charlotte Arney (Pete). Bob grew up in Alameda before moving to Fremont in 1958. He and Marilyn moved to Bristol, Maine in 2005 to enjoy the quiet life and to be closer to their daughter, Kristine. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and football. As a young man, he loved going to the Oakland Oaks baseball games. He was an avid fan of the A’s, Giants, Raiders and 49ers. After his move to Maine, he became a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He participated in the Centerville National Little League in Fremont as a Team Manager and Umpire. Bob also enjoyed bowling, participating in many leagues in Alameda and Fremont over the years. Bob was a Teamster for over 50 years, working at Riviera Foods in Oakland, Pepsi Cola in Oakland, and Wilsey Foods in Oakland. After he retired, he enjoyed a part-time job for many years at the McDonalds restaurant in the Mission San Jose district of Fremont. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
