Robert L. Clendaniel of Denton, MD, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD. He was 61 years old.
Born in Seaford, DE on July 23, 1955, Robert was the son of the late Lindsay Edmonds Clendaniel and Anne Louise Chaffinch Clendaniel and his late stepmother, D. Faye Clendaniel. He was a 1973 graduate of North Caroline High School.
Robert was the owner and operator of Business Internet Systems, LLC in Denton. He had also served on the Denton Town Council from 2006 until 2016. He served as Mayor of Denton in 2011 and was the Vice Mayor twice. He was very involved in local and State Republican politics.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Clendaniel of Denton; a stepsister, Deborah Fitzgerald; two step brothers, Ronald Lee Cook and Kevin B. Cook; an uncle, R. Shelby Clendaniel of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews.
