PORTLAND — Robert Harlan Rumery passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2014 at the Cedars Nursing Home in Portland, Maine. He was born on June 26, 1929 in Portland to the late Lauriston and Elizabeth Rumery. He graduated from South Portland high school in 1950 and proudly served his country with the US Air Force in Korea and later with the Marine Corps reserves.
Bob married his classmate, the former Betty Gene Tolman of South Portland, in 1953. They eventually settled on Prospect St. in Portland raising their family in a neighborhood of great friends and family for over 40 years.
