Robert Francis Huesgen of Wentzville, formerly of Florissant passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 93 years.

He is survived by four daughters, Deborah Linebaugh and husband, Rick of Georgia, Victoria Conrey of St. Charles, Cheryl Purdy of St. Peters, and Michelle Mares and husband, Al, of Wentzville; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Wegmann of Branson, MO;other relatives, and friends.

Robert was born march 7, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri; son of the late Adolph H. Huesgen and wife, Leona M. Luebbert. He served his country proudly in the United States Marines and Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. In 1952, he was united in marriage to Miss Audrey Grempler and four daughters were born to this marriage. They made their home in Florissant, MO. He worked at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for 25+ years as a truck driver; later working for the Special School District in Florissant/Ferguson.

He was a devoted and faithful member of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Florissant. He and his wife, Audrey also enjoyed square dancing.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Audrey in 2014; and four siblings, Adolph “Bud” Huesgen, Bill Huesgen, Laura Schulte, and Jim Huesgen.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
