Bob was a member of Velda Rose Methodist Church in Mesa and the Portland United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, hunting and fishing. Bob retired after 40 years as a sheet metal model maker journeyman and supervisor at Oldsmobile Engineering Department in Lansing. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara L. (Duits) Mileski and brothers Donald B Duits and Gordon D. Duits. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou; daughters Lory (Clifford) Vetter, Cindy (John) Visser both of Sunfield and Sharon (Terry) Miller of Perry; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers Wayne Duits and Kenneth Duits; sister Rose Gibbs.
