Robert Donald “Bob” Ranisate, age 76 longtime resident of Tower died Friday, September 2, 2016 in St. Raphael’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth. He was born in Minerva Twp., Clearwater County, Minnesota, the son of Erick and Helen (Shaker) Ranisate and served in the United States Army. Bob married Hazel Lukenbill on June 7, 1958 in Littlefork, MN and owned and operated Ranisate Brothers Logging with his brother, Mac. He loved being in the woods, fishing, and tinkering. Bob’s greatest love was for his wife Hazel, his family especially his grandsons. He always looked forward to family Sunday dinners.
Bob is survived by his children: Jake (Kathleen) Ranisate of Soudan, Holly (Andrew) White of Mt. Iron, and Paul (Naomi) Ranisate of Virginia; siblings: Roy (Penny) Ranisate of Florida, Shirley Davis of Big Falls, MN, and Diane (Bud) Sather of Montana; grandsons: Steven and Trevor Ranisate; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Hazel in 2013; son: Jeff; and siblings: Dolly and Mac.
