Age 79, husband, father and grandfather passed away on October 9, 2004 at his home in Ionia, Michigan. Bob was born on February 19, 1925 and was married to Maxine J. Rookus on June 24, 1950. Bob was a life long member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia where he served as an usher. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II in the Pacific, was a surviving crewman of the USS Calhoun, and was a life member of the VFW Post # 5065. Bob was an active member in the Knights of Columbus for 50+ years, where he had served as the president of the building corp. He retired from General Motors. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and mother, Gertrude; brothers, Joe, Dick and Jerry Fox. Surviving are his wife, Maxine Jane of Ionia; children, Robert (Linda) Fox of Allendale, MI, Susan Lisaius of Wellston, MI, Theresa (Mike) Cannata of Ionia, Joanne Barber of Ionia, Matthew Fox of Ionia, Mary (Steve) Chapman of Ladera Ranch, CA, and Anne (Drew) Wallace of Ionia; 14 grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Joseph, Somchai, Robbie, Jeffery, Stacia, Matthew, Dominique, Maggie, Brittany, Marcus, Maxine and Andrew; brothers, Frank, Bill and Phil; sisters, Katherine and Elaine.
