Age 92, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010. She was born on March 5, 1918 in Fowler, MI the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Beauchampet) Jandernoa. Mrs. Perry was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, graduated from Pewamo High School and the Lansing Business University. She was an Executive Secretary for the Federal Government before retiring after many years of service and also served as a secretary of the Draft Board Clerk. She was very active in many organizations including the Social Concerns Commission, the Presbyterian Church Women United, Ionia County Republicans, Ionia Historical Society, Ionia Willing Walkers, Alma Bishop Sewing Council, and served on the board for Crop,MCA, and the Ionia City Council. Her love of sewing, baking cookies and apple pies to share and working with the literacy council kept her busy in her latest years. She always had a sharp mind and loved politics and helping others. She was preceded in death by her brother, William; She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gerard Perry of Ionia; daughters, Carol Schroeder DeVries (Gordon) of Holland, and Susan Schroeder Atkinson (Robert) of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Amy DeVries DeRuiter (David), Luke Devries (Michelle), Travis Atkinson (Erin) and Clinton Atkinson; great grandchildren, Cody and Cole DeRuiter, Alex and Rylie DeVries and Elizabeth Atkinson; sisters, Jean Keck (Buddy) of Mobile, Alabama, Harriet Haskin (Norm) of Lake Odessa; brothers, Don Jandernoa (Lois) of Grand Rapids and Dick Jandernoa (Dorothy) of Fowler; as well as many nieces and nephews.
