Richard “Rick” Erickson, 58, of rural Warren, MN, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 due to a car accident near his home.
Richard Eugene Erickson was born on October 11, 1957 in Warren, the son of Vern and Betty (Wimpfheimer) Erickson. He was raised in rural Warren, and he graduated from Argyle High School. Rick was baptized and confirmed at Alma Free Lutheran Church in rural Argyle. He worked at the American Crystal Sugar factory in East Grand Forks, MN for many years, and he was presently working for SouthLine Farms in Warren. Rick married Nancy Rusling.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Nancy Erickson; mother, Betty Voytilla of Warren, MN; siblings, Delbert (Kathy) Erickson of Warren, MN, Pamela Jones of Grand Forks, ND, David Erickson of North Pole, AK, Robert (Bev) Erickson of Warren, MN, Patricia (Rodney) Knutson of Mountain, ND, James (Gay) Voytilla of Viking, MN, Janice Michel of Ashland, WI and Donald Voytilla of St. Francis, MN; stepchildren, Nicole Rusling, Peter Rusling and Felicia Oliva; step-grandchildren, Whitney Miller, Raymond Richard Mendoza, Mariza Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez, Adamey Hernandez, Peter John Rusling II and Keagen Adams, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vern Erickson; step-father, Larry Voytilla; paternal and maternal grandparents; brother-in-law, Terry Jones, and nephew, Nathan Erickson.
SERVICE: 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Alma Free Lutheran Church in rural Argyle, MN.
