Richard (Dickie) Mayer, formerly of Fayette passed away after a brief illness on March 19, 2014 in Osage Beach, MO at the age of 60. Dickie is remembered for his optimism, friendliness and ready smile. He suffered from ill health much of his adult life and resided for a number of years at Gaslight Manor in Lebanon, MO.
Dickie was born September 15, 1953 in Fayette, and graduated from Fayette High School. He also attended Linn State Technical College.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Jewell Mayer of Fayette, MO and a brother Jackie Mayer who died in infancy. He is mourned by his surviving siblings: Robert Mayer of Jensen Beach, FL; Jo Ann (Mayer) Allen of Vienna, VA; Elizabeth (Mayer) Wilkinson of Stuart, FL; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
