Richard Lee Hofer
Portland formerly of Ionia
Age 84, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2006. He was born on September 28, 1921 in Lima, Ohio the son of Eugene and Gretchen (Maltby) Hofer. He owned Dick’s Body Shop in Ionia for 25 years and was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge. He and his wife Connie spent the last 29 years in Bradenton, Florida. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Connie (Patton); daughters, Delores Irish of Coal Hill, Arkansas and Donna Talladay of Little River, S.C.; Stepsons, Michael Rockafellow of Ionia and Rick Rockafellow of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter, Ruby Aikens of Ionia; sister; Gertrude Cowper of Ypsilanti; Stepsister, Maureen Jacobs of Pittsburg, PA; Stepbrother, Eugene Hofer of Brunswick, OH.
