Portland – Richard L. Engelhardt, 77, of Portland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Barron Center, following a long illness.
He was born on February 13, 1937, the son of the late Nora and Frederick Engelhardt. He was raised in South Portland where he graduated from South Portland High School in 1955.
On July 5, 1958, he married the love of his life, Linda Charron. They moved to Westbrook where together they raised their six children. Richard served for 4 years in the National Guard in South Portland and was employed by Nissen’s Bakery where he retired after 35 years.
