Age 81, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009. He was born on January 31, 1928 the son of Martin and Elizabeth (Pohl) Cook. Mr. Cook was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Westphalia, a member of the K of C St. Jude Thaddeus Council #2890, St. Joseph Society and the V.F.W. Post #3733 Fowler, Pewamo, Westphalia. Dick is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He received 2 Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. Dick enjoyed life to the fullest. He owned and operated Dick Cook T.V. Sales and Service in Westphalia for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Joey; brother Robert Cook and a sister Lilly Mae Zimmer. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jeannine; children Kevin (Tamra) Cook, Sandra (Sheryl Lass) Cook-Lass, Sharon (Walter) Eifert and Bruce (Sandy) Cook; grandchildren Jerrod, Lee, and Brianne Schaefer, Josh, Jonathan, Shannon, and Chelsea Cook and Lauren Eifert; step grandchildren Michael (Amy) Burks and Elizabeth (Neil) Barker; step great grandchild J.P. Burks; son-in-law Brian (Shelley) Schaefer; siblings Mildred LaPonsie, Marjorie (Andy) Luttig, Bruno (Mary Ann) Cook and Raymond Cook; brother-in-law Robert Zimmer; several nieces and nephews.
