Richard E. Null (Dicky), “worn out, much used heart”, gave out after a lifetime of sharing his home and heart with a legion of friends, families, and strays who passed through his back porch, On April 6, 2023. Mr. Null, son of the late Richard A. Null and Anna Belle Hoffman, was born on May 4, 1943 in Wilmington, Delaware. On February 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Linda Sue Rowden. Mr. Null served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army, serving in the 138th Infantry.
Dicky now leaves his neighborhood watch position to Pat and Penny Grimm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Gary Null and Barbara Hanna, and a niece, Amy Hanna.
Among his survivors are his wife, Linda Sue Null of Pacific; two children, Paula Knox and husband Scott of Murrayville, IL and Kurt Null and significant other Wanda Miller of Pacific; two siblings, Donna Bradshaw and husband Barney and Linda Coleman and husband Bill; grandchildren, Katie Knox, Dawson Knox, Courtney Voss and husband Jacob and Jake Null and wife Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Jayce Voss and Hadley Sue Null; brothers and sisters-in-law, Myrl Rowden and wife Margie and Marland Rowden and wife Barb; daughter-in-law, Tracy Null and significant other, DJ; other relatives and many friends.
