Age 80, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born on March 14, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Austin and Grace (Raider) Babbitt. Mr. Babbitt was an active member of the Portland United Methodist Church and Past Master of the Portland Masonic Lodge #31, F & AM. He worked for T.R.W. in Portland for 38 years before retiring. He married Doris Ann VanAmburg on October 8, 1949 and in 2009 they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Surviving are his wife, Doris; 2 children, Linda (Randy) Sandborn of Portland and Timothy (Pamela) Babbitt of Arizona; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Nelva (Richard) Sherman of Potterville; several nieces and nephews.
