Age 72, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born on July 23, 1942 in Portland, MI, the son of William and Doris (Reed) Sines. Dick greatly loved his family, especially his grandchildren, was all about family, friends, sports, and making people laugh. He was a captain of the 1959 undefeated and unscored upon football team at Portland High School. He earned 12 varsity letters throughout high school, and his 1959 football team was inducted into the Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame, and both he and his team were inducted into the Portland High School Athletic Hall of Fame as well. Dick loved golfing, watching sports, crossword puzzles, playing cards, westerns, socializing with friends, and following Nascar, U of M, the Lions and Tigers. You knew when you were with him that you would be joking and having a good time. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Bill Sines. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Sines; children, Mike (Tracy) Sines, Stephanie Sines, Terry (Kim) Sines, and Shari (Don) Burland; grandchildren, Alyssa Sines, Jake Trierweiler, Allison Trierweiler, Grace Sines, Casey Sines, Kara Burland, and Megan Burland; siblings, Jack (LaVonne) Sines, Sally (Lee) Francis) and Linda (Bob) Egan; sister-in-law, Barb Sines;many nieces and nephews.
