Richard C. Nichols, 79, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at New Haven Care Center.
Mr. Nichols was born in New Haven, Missouri on July 23, 1934, the son of the late George R. and Carrie M. (Thompson) Nichols.
He was the husband of Mary Lou (McFarlin) Nichols. They were married October 27, 1956 at Yuma, Arizona. Mary Lou survives in New Haven.
He is also survived by two sons Rick Nichols of New Haven, Bob and wife Diane Nichols of Fenton, a daughter Trina and husband Terry Meyer of New Haven, three grandsons Chris Nichols of Fenton, Alex Meyer of New Haven and Thomas Meyer of New Haven, a granddaughter A-Kay Meyer of New Haven and an aunt Verlie Feltes of Leslie.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was the superintendent for SKF Foundry. He also worked as a custodian and maintenance man for the New Haven School District.
