Reva Mae Byers
Ionia, MI
Age 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was born on August 6, 1930 in Easton Township, MI the daughter of Winford and Bertha (Perry) Johnson. Reva attended Ionia County Elementary schools, Ionia High School, and graduating in 1984 though Adult Education from Belding High School. She worked 11 years at Mitchell Bentley Corporation in Ionia, retiring from Gibsons of Greenville in 1993, after 29 years of service. Reva was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Belding, where she was secretary of various organizations. She then transferred to St. Johns Lutheran Church when she returned to Ionia in 1989, where she was president of the L.W.M.S. ladies group.
Reva was married to Bernard E. Parks in 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1963. She then married William Byers in 1966, and he also preceded her in death in 1980. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Delbert and Carlton Johnson; sisters, Alice Johnson, Clara Johnson, Gladys Hall, Mary Cooper, and Frances Sherman. Surviving are 2 special nieces, as well as other nieces and nephews.
