Rev. Don Albert Cannon, 66, transitioned on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at his residence in New Albany, MS.

Don Albert Cannon was born November 16, 1955 in New Albany, MS to Leslie and Ester Cannon.  At an early age he accepted Christ at  Oak Grove M.B. Church. He was a  graduate of East Union High School in 1973. Don was married to Jannice Rogers Cannon in 1975. While they resided in Aurora IL for many years, he was a member of Main Baptist Church. After returning to MS, he joined fellowship with Pleasant Grove M.B. Church. He was called into the Ministry July 27, 1997. Don enjoyed going to church, however  when he was not attending church, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football. Minister Don Cannon received his call to eternal life, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his residence.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 47 years Jannice Cannon, children: Dominic Cannon of New Albany, MS, Catina (Derek) Carter of Myrtle, MS, Danielle Cannon, Lorene  (Demarcus) Williams, and Paula Cannon all of New Albany, MS, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sisters: Mildred Melvin of Blue Springs, MS, Annice Cannon of Sherman, MS, Ella Wade of Aurora, IL, Celia McWhorter (Marvin) of Blue Springs, MS, sister-in-love, Rosa Cannon of Falls Brook, CA, Jimmy (Mildred) Cannon of Phoenix, AZ, Minister Kenneth (Cheryl) Cannon of Blue Springs, MS, Hugh (Brenda) Cannon of Tupelo, MS. and a host of nieces. nephews, other relatives and friends and a special friend: Bro. James Blackwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Leslie and Ester Mae Cannon, two brothers: James Cannon and Clarence “Bob” Cannon.
