Regina Kuznia, 88, of Stephen, MN, passed away Thursday morning, June 12, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.
Regina Theresa Stusynski was born on Aug. 30, 1919 in Florian, MN, the third daughter of John and Julia (Szklarski) Stusynski. Regina grew up on a farm north of Florian where she went to country school. As a young woman, she enjoyed going to dances at Apple Hall and Koleseth’s and dancing to Olaf Ricesom’s Band. At one of these dances, she met her future husband, Roman Kuznia. They married on Oct. 12, 1938 at Assumption Church in Florian. After their marriage, they lived on a farm west of Florian. In the summer of 1940, they became parents of a baby girl named Caroline. In 1944, they moved into Stephen.
