Portland- Raymond W. Rawlings, formerly of Newton Lower Falls, MA, passed away on September 15, 2013, at his home with family by his side. He was born in St. Louis, MO, a son of Lucius A. and Catherine (Johnson) Rawlings. Beloved husband for 41 years of Nancy (Walker) Rawlings; loving father of Peter and his wife Ellen of MA, Nancy and her husband Jeffrey Caisse of FL, dear late son Edward, Sarah and her partner John Brackett of NH, Lorna and her husband Jason Haigh of ME; cherished grandfather of Colin Haigh. He is also survived by his brother Lu and wife Pat of MO; brother in-law, Thomas Walker and his wife Judith of ME, several nieces, nephews and their families along with many friends and colleagues. Ray was a World War II Navy Veteran and practicing attorney in Boston for many years.
