Raymond Stanley Scott, 96, of Steelville, MO passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. He was born May 2, 1912 in Steelville to Raymond and Camille (Metcalf) Scott. On June 7, 1933, he was united in marriage to Roberta “Bobbie” McIndoo who preceded him in death on September 28, 1998.
He will be sadly missed by his three sons, Stanley M. Scott and wife Pat of Steelville, Lawrence “Larry” C. Scott of Macclenny, FL and Richard C. Scott of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, “Bobbie”, one sister, Barbara Johnson and husband Frank, and two daughters-in-law, Patricia Scott and Bonnie Scott.
Stanley served in the U.S. Army during WWII at the rank of captain.
He was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church, the oldest active member and church treasurer for sixty years.
