Raoul N. Levesque
Topsham – Raoul N. Levesque, 77 of Maynard Dr. died Wednesday Feb. 17, 2010 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Brunswick on November 12, 1932 a son of Dennis and Laura Normand Levesque, and was educated in St. John’s School.
On November 12, 1955 he married Yvonne Thibeault.
Raoul worked at Verney Mill for several years prior to serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his military service he returned to Brunswick and worked as a welder at the Hardings Plant of Bath Iron Works for 37 years. He has made his home in Topsham since retiring in 1994.
He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Raoul was an avid reader and never missed watching a Red Sox game.
He is predeceased by two daughters, Anne Marie Levesque and Suzanne Marie Spring; and a brother, Roland Levesque.
Raoul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Yvonne Levesque; two sons, Raymond D. Levesque and his wife Colleen of Bowdoinham, and Gerard P. Levesque of Brunswick; a son in law Stephen Spring of Augusta; a sister, Cecilia Butryn and her husband Joseph of Lawrence, MA; a brother, James Parrish of Key West, Florida; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Anne Levesque, Abbie Rae Levesque, Rebecca Fern Dumont and her husband Kevin, Mollie Marie Mester and her husband Jeremy, Nathaniel Spring , Suzanna Levesque, and James Levesque; three great grandchildren, Dominic Dumont, Myla Dumont, and Malachi Mester.
