Ralph Arslanian, at age 92, passed away January 25, 2017, in Howell, Michigan. The son of John and Lucy (Bozigian) Arslanian. he was born on September 4, 1924, in Highland Park, Michigan. Growing up in that close-knit Armenian community, Ralph received his education and graduated from Highland Park, High School. As a youngster, making model airplanes was one of his passions that endured during his lifetime. He entered the US Army and served his nation and saw action in Northern France during WWII. He was awarded the Victory Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with one Battle Star, and 3 Overseas Service Bars. A fine soldier, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. Returning to civilian life, he began work as a sheet metal machinist for the City of Detroit. He was noted for the different signs he made for many civic events, as well as a multitude of other signs needed by the city departments. Election times were important times for him as they set up polling stations throughout the city. Ralph worked there faithfully until retirement. Ralph was a devoted father to his children. He was a handyman who could fix and repair anything that was needed around the house. When he remarried in 1980, he and Margaret made up for lost time by travelling and vacationing together. They enjoyed vacations in Hawaii, going there twice, as well as snowbird Winter vacations in Clearwater, Florida. They had special times in Las Vegas, Houston, Texas, Canada and the Caribbean Islands. Ralph was a gentleman, who will be well remembered by all……………. FAMILY MEMBERS Beloved husband of Margaret. Dearest father of Kathy (George) Bolton, Cindy (Milo) Angoren, Rick (Gloria) Arslanian, Armene (Becky) Kaye, Mike Arslanian.
