Ralph Hug of Rhineland passed Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his home. Mr. Hug was born in Berger, Missouri on June 16, 1925, the son of the late Benjamin and Susie (Patton) Hug.
He was the husband of Marie (Senter) Hug who passed December 31, 2011. Ralph was a diesel mechanic who retired from Granite City Steel. He was a WWII veteran and served on Palawan Island in the Philippines.
He is survived by son Leonard Hug and wife Diane of Rhineland and daughters Susan Wingfield of St. Peters and Danette Hug of Wentzville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two sisters Ruth Laboube and husband Virgil, and Margaret Gabathuler both of Hermann. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Hug, two grandchildren Andrea and Jesse Scheulen, and his sister Pearl Cappel.
