Priscilla Rebecca (Andrade) Taylor of Severn, Maryland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 10, 2017. She was surrounded by her family, as they sang her favorite hymns. Born on September 23, 1940, in Providence, RI to the late Oliver Thomas Andrade and Adeline Scalzi Andrade, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Allen “Russell” Taylor of Severn, and three children, daughter Lori Taylor Crawford and husband Paul of Millersville, MD, son Gregory Allen Taylor and wife Annette of Apex, NC, and son Jeffrey David Taylor and wife, Julie, of Catonsville, MD. Priscilla leaves behind eight grandchildren: Rachel Elizabeth Bee (Robert) of Lynchburg, VA, Emily Priscilla Crawford of Glen Burnie, MD, Garrett Taylor Crawford and Jeremy Allen Crawford of Millersville, MD; Cameron Stone Taylor and Nicholas Stone Taylor of Apex, NC; and Jordan Deane Taylor and Jared David Taylor of Catonsville, MD. Priscilla is also survived by her sister Mary Andrade Cannistraci of Cranston, RI. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Oliver John Andrade of Cranston, RI.  A gifted educator, she worked as a substitute teacher, teacher’s aide and reading aide in Anne Arundel County schools (George Cromwell, Hilltop, Arthur Slade, and Odenton Elementary), from 1971 to 1983. For the next nineteen years, she worked as an administrative assistant for the US Coast Guard and the Department of Defense. Priscilla was very involved in the churches she attended, teaching Sunday School, playing the piano, and singing. She enjoyed baking and was known for her extraordinary chocolate chip cookies loved by her family and friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent reading and singing to her grandchildren, listening to her favorite gospel music, and being in the company of the love of her life, her husband, Russell.
