Age 82, passed away on January 20, 2008. He was born on May 26, 1925 in Clinton Co. the son of Isadore and Mathilda (Pline) Stump. Pliney was a member of St. Patrick Church in Portland. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed collecting toy tractors. He was a veteran of WWII and was a longtime trustee and later Treasurer of Portland Township. On September 2, 1950 he married Marilyn Willemin at St. Patrick Catholic Church and together they shared 48 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in 1998, son Kenneth in 1998 and a sister Helen Fedewa in 2002. Surviving are children James (Ann) Stump of Lyons and Lynn (Jeff) Sandborn of Portland; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Shirley (Richard) Lawless of Portland.
