Phyllis Holland Gale of Cordova, MD, died at her home on July 6, 2017. She was 76 years old.
Born in Denton on December 26, 1940, Phyllis was the daughter of the late John C. Holland and Evelyn Reed Holland. She was a 1958 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. Phyllis had worked in several restaurants as a waitress for many years. She had been a terrific bowler and loved to dance. Most of all, she was a terrific wife and mother.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, John C. Gale of Cordova; two daughters: Deborah Lynn Headley of Hunt Valley, MD and Pamela M. Gale of Cordova; one sister, Diane Davis of Jacksonville, AR; and three brothers: Joseph Holland (Sandy) of Bridgeville, DE, Richard Holland (Cathie) of Henderson, MD, and Dallas Holland (Lois) of Dover, DE. She is predeceased by a sister, Frances Thompson; a brother, Wayne Holland; and a grandson, Christopher Dennis Dill.
