Phillipe E. Bernier, 48, of Bowdoinham, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at home, with his family by his side, following a long battle with cancer. He was born in Brunswick on June 27, 1961, the son of Edward H. Jr. and Therese (Ouellette) Bernier. He was educated in St. John”s Elementary School and Brunswick High School. Phillipe worked for Pelletier & Flanagan as a painter for ten years prior to turning his attention to boat building and restoration. He worked for Washburn & Doughty and Samples Boat Yards and later became a subcontractor in carpentry and boat restoration. During this time he started his own boat restoration business “Bowdoinham Boat Yard” which he operated until ill health. He enjoyed hunting, fishing of all types, gardening, motorcycles, boating, his dogs, cooking and food.
