Philip Edward Thelen

Age 64, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014. He was born on November 9, 1949 the son of Linus and Adeline (Schueller) Thelen. Philip was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westphalia, he proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves where he was a nuclear weapons assembler and crossed trained in the missile defense system. He retired from General Motors in 1999 with more than 30 years of service. Philip was a member of the 4th Degree Fr. Godez Assembly and the Knights of Columbus where he was a past Grand Knight, a former State Director and a former assistant to the State Deputy. He was a life long 2nd shift farmer and enjoyed the Antique Tractor Club in which he belonged. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his siblings Peter (Terrie), Paul (Sarah), Kevin (Dee), Ralph (Cindy), Daniel, Fred (Jewel), Bernard, Steve (Michelle) and Marianne (David) Kerr; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. any friends.
