Philip Arnold Wickner, 75, was born July 12, 1947, in Bemidji, MN to Alfred and Lottie Wickner. He died peacefully in his sleep on September 13, 2022, at his home in Wayzata.
Philip grew up in Bemidji and loved playing baseball. During high school he played for the Bemidji Chiefs.
An entrepreneur, throughout his life he owned, operated, and managed several businesses, and he excelled in sales and organization. Philip was proud of his start-up businesses, and he possessed an outgoing personality,
sales skills and management abilities.
He was a doting father and grandfather. He will be remembered in all aspects of his life for his positive attitude, joyful nature, hard-working ethic, and deep Christian faith. He was deeply loved by his family.
Philip was married to Ramona Hinton and they had four children: Joseph, Joshua, Erin (Bradley) Roberts, and Elizabeth (Daniel) Burton.
He later married Blanca Rebollo and had a son, Philip “Moose” Wickner. He is also the father of Chelsie Leah Smith and Brittany (Josué) Gomes.
Philip is survived by his children, their spouses, three grandchildren, Charlotte Burton, Bartholomew Roberts and Ashby Roberts; siblings, David Wickner, Mary Franklin, John Wickner, Diane (Ron) Jourdain and Shirley (Brian) Helberg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Willard Wickner, Alfreda Bellingham, and Lois Ness.
