Age 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. He was born on May 31, 1951 in St. Johns, Michigan, the son of Leo and Sarah (Miller) Kowatch. Mr. Kowatch was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Philip was employed by the Carson City Correction Facility, but his true love was farming. He enjoyed playing cards and wrote the book on “Setback”. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Mark. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Laurie; children, Philip (Stephanie) Kowatch, Kelly Kowatch, Andrew (Erin) Kowatch, Katie (John) Pung, Emily (Joel) Snitgen, Audrey (Justin) Crouse, and Becky (Jordan) Thelen; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Marie (Dennis) Arens, Helen (Joseph) Nurenberg, John (Mary Lee) Kowatch, Virginia (Larry) Smith, Luke (Sandy) Kowatch, Germaine Kowatch, and Kathleen (Don) English; many nieces and nephews.
