Penrith Brien Goff age 92 of Livonia. Husband of Ingeborg for over 55 years. Beloved father of Christopher, Tanya and Erika. Proud opa of Lianna and Amara (Jess). Also survived by many other loving family and friends.
Pen was an avid learner, working odd jobs to put himself through college. He earned a BA at the University of Kentucky, and was awarded his MA and PhD in Germanic languages from UCLA. He fondly remembered teaching at Pomona College, University of Chicago, University of Kentucky, and Wayne State University, from which he retired in 1994.
Pen loved plants and could often be found caring for bromeliads, cacti, and orchids at the Belle Isle Conservatory, Matthei Botanical Gardens, and in his home.
Pen began drawing at an early age, and perfected his art in retirement. His favorite subjects were botanical.
