     Paula Pritchett went home to the Lord on December 23. 2022 at the age of 84.

     Paula, whose birth name was Pauline Rita, was born on August 25, 1938 in Huntington, Long Island, New York to Louis Joseph and Catherine Theresa (Bonti) Riccoboni.

     In 1959 she was married to Fred Lederer with whom she had 3 sons: Adolf, William and Freddy, Jr. In 1971 she moved with her children to the Federalsburg, Maryland area. She also lived in the Bridgeville, Delaware area. She worked mostly in retail, banking, home health care and drove school bus for handicapped children. In 1985 she married Emanuel “Buddy” Pritchett and a blended family was formed.

     At the time of her death, Paula had 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is survived by her sons, Adolf “Tex” (Lucy) Lederer of Greensburg, KY; William (June) Lederer of Federalsburg, MD; Buddy Pritchett’s children, Ronald (Bonnie) Pritchett of Seaford, DE; Larry Pritchett of Laurel, DE; Christine (Lee) Weaber of Greenwood, DE; and Kevin (Shelia) Pritchett of Bridgeville, DE. She is also survived by her sister, Theresa “Terry” (Vincent) Crispino of Port Jefferson, New York.

     She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Steven Lederer, her son, Freddy Jr. in 1996, her husband, Buddy, in 2010, grandsons, Jason Lederer in 2008 and Robert Bates in 2022, and daughter-in-law, Brenda Pritchett in 2022.

     Paula’s favorite pastimes were flower gardening, doing puzzles, traveling, socializing with friends and family.

     Paula became a member of Denton Church of Christ in Christian Union in 1986 and remained a member for 25 years; she served on the Board for 17 years. She went on 3 mission trips through World Gospel Missions to Honduras, Kenya & Bolivia. She loved missions work, whether at home or across the world. Paula participated in church ladies’ groups; she was involved in and taught Bible studies for several years. Most recently she attended Denton Church of the Nazarene. She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant who was willing to do whatever the Lord asked her to do.
