Paul W. Hulliger of Denton, MD, formerly of Hillsboro, died Friday, February 26, 2016, at the UM Medical Center in Easton, MD. He was 90 years old.
Born in Hynson, MD on April 20, 1925, Mr. Hulliger was the son of the late Frederick William Hulliger and Helen Beatrice Noble Hulliger. He had lived in Caroline County all of his life.
Mr. Hulliger was a WWII & Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He was the Superintendent of Public Works for Easton until retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Caroline American Legion Post 29, the Easton Loyal Order of Moose #1520, and the Choptank River Yacht Club. He loved fishing for rock fish and flounder. He was also an avid gardener who enjoyed the beauty of nature.
Mr. Hulliger is survived by his wife of 69 years, Thelma C. Christopher Hulliger of Denton; a daughter, Brenda J. Cowgill and her husband Danny of Denton; a son, Weldon Hulliger of Stuart, FL; two sisters: Delores A. Glessner of Federalsburg, MD and Jeanette Elaine Gaines of Canton, GA; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Eloise White, Doris Barwick; and four brothers: Noble Hulliger, Fred Hulliger, Jr.
