Paul Hendrix Dixon of St. James passed away Monday January 10, 2011 at the Harry S. Truman Veteran’s Hospital in Columbia, Mo., following a sudden illness. He was 90 years of age.

Paul Dixon was born October 15, 1920 at Pauls Valleys, Oklahoma., the son of the late John Calvin and Cora Mae Williams Dixon.

Paul Dixon was united im marriage to Mae Rean Watson. She entered into rest March 31, 2002.

Paul served in the service for 27 years. He served in the Navy for 6 years and in the Army for 22 years. He was a World War II Veteran. He retired from the service and worked for the Post Office in Tampa, Florida. He moved to Salem in 1969 and worked at Amex Mineshute until 1974. Paul then went to Pheonix, Arizona. He lived there for four years and then returned to Missouri. He was a member of High Gate Baptist Church. Paul loved to travel, fishing with his wife and loved to collect coins. He owned an antique shop for 10 years in Drake, Missouri. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family. Paul was very patriotic and loved his Country and God.
