Paul E. Hembree, Age 71, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Biloxi. Paul grew up and attended school in Pascagoula. He graduated from Pascagoula High in 1968 and The University of Southern Mississippi in 1972. Paul worked for Stuart C. Irby Company for over 41 years until his retirement in 2013.

He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church where he previously served as a deacon and on the youth and budget committees. He is a former member of the Pascagoula Recreation Board serving as Vice Chairman, the City of Pascagoula Renaissance & Strategic Planning Committee, and the Jackson County Industrial Trade Show Committee. Throughout his life, Paul was able to enjoy many things including traveling and sports activities. He was an avid sports fan, and played football and baseball in his youth and later enjoyed coaching softball, pee-wee football, and Dixie Youth baseball teams. Also, on many Saturdays you could find him at “The Rock” cheering on his beloved Southern Miss Golden Eagles. SMTTT!

Paul was a loving man to his family and rarely could go anywhere without seeing someone he knew. He had a witty personality and often gave humorous responses to questions or funny pieces of life advice. Even though he was adored by many, Paul will be most dearly missed by his loving family and friends who meant the world to him.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents George and Betty Hembree, his uncle Walter Hembree and wife Dorothy, aunt Una Lewis and husband Leroy, aunt Cora Mohan Crawford, and sister in-law Honna Parker. Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Hembree, son Keith Hembree and his wife Tabitha, and daughter Kelly Hembree. He is also survived by his brothers in-law, Thomas G. Parker, Weber Parker, Jr. and wife Lori, Paul Parker, Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
