Age 53, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Mrs. Garcia worked her entire life trying to make a better life for her family, many times working two jobs. She fought to the end! She was also a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Alejandro Garcia; children, Alma (Samuel) Contreras of Ionia and Esteban (Liliana) Garcia of Grand Rapids; 5 grandchildren, Adam, Diego, Grace, Vanessa, and Esteban Jr.; 13 siblings, Rosario, Enedina, Ezequiel, Eva, Serafin, Margarita, Uriel, Delia, Olivia, Guillermo, Mario, Baltazar, and Amalia; several nieces and nephews.
