PATRICIA ANNE (HUSTED) SHIVELY

Patricia Anne (Husted) Shively, age 74, of Hubbardston, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Laurels of Carson. Patty was born June 08, 1942, in Ithaca, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Viola (Topper) Husted. She was a graduate of the 1961 Class of Fulton High School, in Middleton, Michigan. On October 20, 1962, Patty married Roger Eugene Shively, of Hubbardston, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Hubbardston. Patty was a long-time member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Hubbardston. In her younger years, she worked for Chrysler, at the Lyons Trim Plant. After the birth of her youngest child, she left full-time outside employment to care for her children and husband. In later years, she resumed working outside of the home on a part-time basis. Patty was an avid Bingo player for many years. When area Bingo games became less prevalent, she enjoyed going to the Mount Pleasant Casino, instead. Patty also enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, country music, and was always a big Elvis fan. Patty will be dearly missed by her family. Patty is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-four years, Roger Shively, of Hubbardston, her daughter, Katrina (Brett) Moe, of Hubbardston, son, John Shively, also of Hubbardston, and son, Jim (Angie) Shively, of Perry. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Shawna, Danielle, Brendan, and Katherine, and great-grandchild, Chloe, with another great-grandchild on the way. Patty is also survived by her sister, Betty McGinn, of Hubbardston, sister Penny Husted of Newaygo, brother David Husted, of Greenville, sister-in-law, Joan (Buddy) McKenna, of Okemos, and first cousin, Jean Avey, of Carson City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola (John) Stoffs, of Middleton, and Earl (Marge) Husted, of Amble (Howard City), and by three younger brothers, Daniel Husted, of Howard City, Richard Husted, of Newaygo, and Donald Husted, also of Newaygo.
