03/23/Pansy Marie Chambers of St. James was born on August 29, 1917 to William Hance and Nellie Aaron Hance. Pansy passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the age of 96 years 7 months and 23 days of age. Pansy was united in marriage to James Walter Chambers on Feburary 11, 1933 and to this union four children were born – Dorothy Jean, James Walter, Rita Ann and Loretta who died at birth.

Pansy loved the Lord with all her heart and was dedicated to living by example through her service and leadership to others. Pansy was the song leader for many years at the First Pentecostal Church of Vichy and blessed many with her angelic voice. Pansy loved quilting, and provided all her children and grandchildren with at least one special hand made quilt. Pansy loved to cook and looked forward to Sunday afternoon dinners with her family. God and Family was her life. She treated everyone with love and you could not leave her home without her saying come back and see me. Pansy will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Pansy Chambers is survived by her daughters: Rita Lambeth of St. James, Mo. and Dorothy Hawkins of St. James, Mo.; and daughter-in-law Ellen Chambers, 12 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Pansy Chambers is preceded in death by her husband James Walter Chambers and son James Chambers; son-in-laws: Bob Hawkins and Roger Lambeth.
