Og Krueger, age 83 of Mountain Iron, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016 surrounded by his family in his daughter’s home. He was born May 24, 1932 in Vergas, MN the son of Ewald and Doris (Cummings) Krueger and married Janice Umlauf on May 22, 1958 in Dent, MN. Og grew up in Vergas and eventually settled with is family in South Grove in 1967. He was employed as a Master Plumber/Pipefitter with Local 589 for Tini Mechanical and Mesabi Mechanical Engineering Company, retiring in 1991. Og enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, taxidermy, puzzles, and watching Golf, Curling, the Little League World Series, the MN High School Hockey Tournament, and Notre Dame Football. He was the South Grove “plumber/foreman”; helping many of his friends and his family with a multitude of Projects.
