Age 80 passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2004. He was born on May 17, 1924 in Lyons Township the son of Arnold and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Cook. Norm was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and loved to sing in the church choir. He was also a member of the Pewamo Knights of Columbus Council #8071. Norm was a lifetime farmer who enjoyed hunting and watching tractor pulls, but most of all, loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Thelen; brothers, Julius and Bill Cook; sisters, Revella Lawless and Lorraine Pohl. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Blanche (Feyan) Cook of Lyons; children, Larry Cook of Lyons, Kathy (Alan) Risher of Pewamo, Don Cook of Ionia, and Colleen (Jerry) Cook of Pewamo; son-in-law, Dan Thelen of Ionia; 5 grandchildren, Nicki (Darrin) Willson, Renee (Raymond) Martin, Alexandra and Nicholas Risher, and Murphy Patterson; 3 great grandchildren, Alex, Kayla, and Zoe; 3 sisters, Marie Harvey of Haslett, Wilma (Francis) Trierweiler of Westphalia, and Joan (Carl) Huhn of Dewitt; 2 sisters-in-law, Marie Cook of Portland and Margie (Les) Gregg of Florida; 2 brothers-in-law, Tony Pohl of Eagle and Marvin Lawless of Portland; several nieces and nephews.
