Age 79, died early Sunday morning May 28, 2006 after fighting a short battle with cancer. He was born on November 6, 1926 to William and Thelma (Caitlin) Piercefield. He and his loving wife of 59 years, June had many happy years together. Also surviving are 1 daughter, Lucinda (Tom) Green, 2 sons, Edward Piercefield and Gary (Judy) Piercefield all of Portland. Norm and June have 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Norm was one of 13 children: Pearl (deceased) (Vernon) Richardson, Gordon (Cleo) Piercefield, LeRoy (Blanche) Piercefield, Wanda (Leo) Pepper, June (Robert) McCaul, Wayne (Beulah) Piercefield, Jerry (Carolin) Piercefield, Janet King, Bonnie (Willard, Jr.) Kinsman, Pat (David) VanHouten, Wilma (Robert) Waters, James (Shelly) Piercefield, and special friend, Arnold Walkington. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. In his younger years he sold cars and farm equipment, he then went to Oldsmobile and retired after 22 years of service. Norm was president of the Lobdell Lake Association for 32 years where they owned a cottage on the island. He has been a member for over 50 years of TPA and also served on the board of directors. Norm loved to work on cars, fishing, work in his garden, spend time at his cottage, and winters in Florida. He liked to stay busy and he loved being around the many people he knew.
