Norma Jean Brown, nee Cape, 68, of Bourbon, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO. She was born August 1, 1943 in Steelville to Wilbur Russell Cape and Elaine Wilkerson Cape. Norma was united in marriage to Leon Brown and to this union two daughters were born.
Norma grew up in Steelville and graduated from Steelville High School in 1961. She later moved and lived in different states and ended up in Indiana. In the late 90’s, she moved back to her home area. Norma had been living in the Cuba Manor since December of 2007.
Norma loved to read and especially her Bible. She also enjoyed working word search puzzles and watching game shows. For years, she loved collecting dishes and trinkets. She was known by her family for being very particular about her cars. Even as a young lady she always kept her cars cleaned and washed.
Norma loved her children and grandchildren very much and they were the light of her life.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Sherry Loshnowsky and husband Jeff of Peru, IN and Sharon Donaldson and husband Pete of Mexico, IN; three brothers, Wayne Cape and wife Sue of Cuba, MO, Harold Cape and wife Virginia of Steelville, MO and Edwin Cape and wife Marion of Collinsville, OK; four grandchildren, Jonah, Lucy, Joel and Joshua; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Flora Sidebottom and husband Joseph.
